I’ve a ‘93 funduro put an after market reg/rec and I’ve had to Hotwire it according to what I’ve read on posts
The 3 phase wasn’t wired correctly and the 2pin plug was wrong connector and the ignition wires are getting red hor
I’ve read red and white to green and red to green grey
Any ideas or has someone got an original for sale can’t find one local

Sounds like you have connected the ignition to a ground connection. Or that the regulator you bought is not for a BMW, I fitted one from Ebay that was for a 650GS plugs were right and worked first time.
