I have a 2000 F650GS (fuel injection). Idle speed is a length of time - initially about 2,000 to 2,000 rpm, then gradually drops to close to 1,600. Is there an easy way to adjust the idle speed? The throttle stop screw on the body of the throttle seems to have no means of twisting it, which suggests to me that it is not to bend." I would guess you have fixed this by now, but there is a small grub screw that sets the throttle butterfly, it is thread-locked in place, and you can easily twist off the flat-blade screwdriver slot!
Put thread lock goo softener on the thread before trying and make sure its loose before trying to turn it.
Should be about 1400 rpm tickover when warm.
I think the elctrics manages tickover, but the throttle body screw is set at factory.
