SO recently this happened.

This chain guard looks like it has 3 bolts Two on top, and one on bottom (nr. 3). Bottom bolt was missing so i insert one and this happened.

Or Bottom bolt suppose to be empty ?

I have a 2000 F650GS, and I confirm I have three bolts there, all in good condition, and the chain guard is in good condition as well. Please go have a look at your bike from behind, straight from its centre line, and check whether the symmetry of the whole chain guard assembly (including the part on the side of the brake disc) is okay. I would suspect you have a problem there, perhaps with the bolts of the small part that is exactly behind the wheel, below the number plate? Loosen or even remove the whole assembly, and then re-tighten all the screws carefully while trying to figure out where your problem is.
