What circuits are on that fuse - as that may give a clue as to what is getting water-logged, eg the headlight bowl, rear light, handlebar switches, underseat area????

Looking at Flash very colourful circuit diagram on the F650 website.
http://faq.f650.com/FAQs/Photos/ElecPhotos/wiring1-1.gif
Lights all of them including the indicators and dash lights. Also might be the fan but that might not be on the right side of the fuse for it to be effected.
Looks like an evening of pulling wires off lights and spraying with a water displacement fluid (like WD40).
Also look for corrosion on contacts and damage (chafeing, cuts) to the wires as this might be causing the short.
Happy hunting :-(

Up date on the blowing fuse saga

Hi Guys, Thanks for everyones help with my fuse blowing problem..the wiring map was a grat help Chris  . After a bit of an investigtion, I found the fault, the main power feed from the battery wasn't secured under the seat and had rubbed against a nut and broken, obviously when I sat on the bike, the wire connected and caused a short.

All mended now...I thought it was a good time to send the bike in for a service. I sourced a recomendation from a BMW specialist in Bexleyheath who gave me the name of an ex BMW tech head just out side Catford.

He found a caliper had ceased, he released it, rear spindle was in the same state, he sorted that out. Checked the wiring, and did a minor service, the usual, air filter, oil, oil filter, coolent, tyres, spokes, brakes etc, etc, In general seemed a nice bloke, pretty genuine, the whole deal cost me ?136.00 inc vat.
I need a few more things done on the bike to get it up to scratch, so i'll keep with this guy to see how good he is long term.

Any body in the London area looking for a mechanic might want to try this guy. Anyone want his name and number let me know. :)
