Following the advice given on this forum i've finally got round to fitting my stebel magnum. Had to make a bracket to mount it down near the engine(it wont fit where the origional fits). Extended the cabling down from the old horn but all i got was a funny popping sound then it blew the fuse. I...

Last week I put the bike into my local Motorrad to sort out a leaky fork. I also asked them if they were gonna send me a ‘Quality Enhancement’ letter. They said that my bike wasn’t on their system. Seems that when they sold the bike to the original owner, they put the wrong frame number and reg...
Everything works fine on my 'new' 06 5800 mile red F650GS except the headlamp 'pass' switch!
I'm hoping it just needs a wee bit of a clean and a spray with WD40 or something but when I do remove the switch cover will there be a spring or a ball bearing or anything that will shoot out with a...
This little problem has been getting more annoying recently with the cold weather. In normal conditions the bike will usually (but not always) start first time, but far too often pressing the button does nothing. Try again and perhaps one might get a half-hearted attempt to kick in and then...
I had my first expereince of riding in the snow/ice this morning - and survived just!! We had loads of snow in Beaconsfield last night which settled, although most had melted off the main roads this morning. Its the little roads I worry about - my back tyre skidded out this morning giving me a...

The brake light on my 96 Funduro does'nt work when I press the foot pedel, works fine with the front brake though. I've narrowed the problem down to the switch on the master cylinder but it appears to deviate from the Clymer manual in that it is a pressure switch on the master cylinder...
Hope someone can steer me in the right direction.
I've got a 2005 Dakar with the normal Dakar seat - ie the high one. I've been offered a second hand 2002 normal 650GS seat ie the lower one.
Question is - can I put this 2002 seat on my 2005 bike to make it a bit lower?
Haven't run my GS Dakar (2000) for a couple of months.
Had the battery on charge and then refitted it.
Front and Rear brake doesn't appear to switch the brake light.
Bulb looks okay.
Haven't looked too far yet.
