Helllo I have Avon Roadrider tyres fitted to my strada and i noticed on my rear tyre today it is cracking along the centre of the tyre at the base of the blocks.
Has anyone else had this problem and what suggestions are there in regards whether they should be replaced for free or if there is a...
Need to replace my rear tyre - currently I have Touratech Maxlin (or something like that quite dark to see), they seems quite stubly, I DON'T go off road but do alot of miles in ALL weather. I need a great tyre especially for wet, slippery, muddy, fenland roads :-)
Any ideas please?:)
I was extremly happy with the handling and balance of the bike but doing some checks noticed that both tyres were down on pressure by about 5psi from the recommended 32psi and 36 psi (2.2bar, 2.5bar) as in the handbook. Having corrected both pressures the front end now seems 'a bit too lively'...
Crikey, I'm full of questions tonight, even if this is an old hoary one...:big grin:
I've clocked just over 5k in the last 5 months and have noticed that the existing Tourance tyres are looking like they won't go more than 2-3k and they seem to have lost the 100% confidence in the wet edge...
I know some people take on the challenge of changing their own tyres. I sometimes do mine rather than handing it to the bike shop (just to keep my hand in...). If anyone is interested I was in Poundland this morning and they are selling tyre levers (I think they are 15" ones) for (perhaps...

I have just replaced my tyres on my F650 Funduro. I have used the Metzler Tourance since I have had the bike and they have suited my style of riding. This time round after riding them gently for about a hundred miles I noticed a difference in the handling of the bike. I couldn't put my finger on...
I have recently bought a 2000 GS and I have seen on pics that it originally had this plastic "fender" over the rear tyre. (see pic) However, some previous owner has chosen to take it off. As I very much like the design with it ON, I would like if one of you could help me find such a...
I have a flat back tyre :-(. I've replaced the valve core but it's leaking from the base of the valve housing (i.e. the threaded part that goes into the wheel). It's a tubeless tyre. How do I go about fixing that? Can I fix it or does it require a new tyre?
Thanks in advance,
Tyres on my 650 Funduro are about ready to be replaced and just wanted peoples thoughts and experience. Current tyres fitted are Metzeler Tourance's and can't honestly say I've had any problems with them and was just going to replace 'like for like' but thought I'd ask advice on here first...
Hi folks
I`m about to put a couple of Anakee 2 tyres on in a few days.
Thing is i`ve searched Michelin site for a guide to what pressure they could recommend :puzzled:. Couldn`t find anything really.
Does anyone run these hoops on a Dakar?
Thanks in advance Dakarnoway.
I have sourced a Michelin Pilot Active for the rear but I dont think they do an exact match for the front in 19in (early model).
Its all road work for mine so I was thinking od getting the Macadam for the front.
Okay people, this may seem like a stupid question, so brace yourselves!
I have recently purchased a 2003 F650GS, with the original tyres (done just under 6k)
Looking at buying some new tyres for a 2-week trip around europe this summer (France, Switzerland, Spain, etc...)
Now, i know i have to...
i think my tyres are about done. in the forums opinion, what is the best choice in footwear? I never go off road ( unless i run out of it) and do very low miles. any thoughts or pearls of wisdom?
HI Guys I orderd a normal size 100/90 - R19 Michelin Anakee (H rated) and today an Anakee 2 110/80 R19 arrived (V rated).
Reading the little I can find - it seems some people do run the 110/80 R19 sizes instead of the "official" 100/90 R19s. I think this is the size and rating of the tyre for...
Hi, just bought an 04 Scarver as a run around, also have a Rocket 3 and a Ducati 748, it has a worn out 150 tyre on the rear, an option to lower it I believe, I know the standard fit is a 160 but can I go wider? 120/180 pairs are good value has anybody done this?
