Just got back from a two week tour to Hungary where I mostly stayed with friends, camped and used hostels.
I've got two weeks off in November and am thinking about going to Spain.
Away from the cost it might be too cold to camp, so I was thinking about cheap hotels and private rooms...
I've got a late '07 Dakar which I'm slowly upgrading with some luggage. At present I've got a Touratech Tankbag and use a Kriega 30L combo pack on top of a Touratech rear carrier for short trips. (This carrier isn't compatible with the Touratech Alu Topcase ). However I would like to do some...
I may be losing my job in Dec this year and I am thinking of taking a few gap months (in my 50's!) and tour - camping around Europe on my 2004 GS650 - something I have wanted to do for ages. The thing is I have always left the maintenance apart from the obvious - chain tensioning, wheel removal...
I am about two weeks away from setting off on my first outing of any real distance - about 2000 miles around France.
Do you have any tips on how to prepare my bike for the trip - anything in particular that I should look out for now to avoid having any trouble on the way?!
I have a '96 classic with the tiny black screen. I am planning on a tour this summer and I want to fit a taller screen. - Does anyone know whether a '99 Strada screen will fit (found one on ebay)?
I've had a look round the forums on this subject and can't seem to find an answer.
I've just traded my 2004 Blackbird for the fabulous 650 Dakar. I love the BMW and it's much more "me" than the super-extreme Honda, but I find I get lots of wind blast on the Beemer.
Can anyone recommend a...

Any suggestions for a touring screen to stop this, I'm a bit cautious...

I am looking to replace the screen on my 98 Funduro for a taller touring version. Is there anyone out there in the know on what the differences are, if any, between the offerings from Puig and Wunderlich?
I have gleaned that Wunderlich buy their's from Puig, and there isnt much difference in...

According to the manufacturers the Touring Kit is not recommended for the GS.
I thought I might just fit it anyway and see what happens, but would it be best to reinforce the bodywork?
