I am in the process of fitting these tanks onto my bike
All fits fine except for the front part of the airbox.
Does anyone know how this is usuallt dealt with ?
I have a few ideas but I'd like to know how its usually done.
There's also a sensor built into the air box I assume this is a temp...
Ok then who went to wales last week?,there were quite a few f650 gs's and some dakars there but none with the web logo on :wall: (mine included) :naughty:
if anyone went, mine was the red one with stickers on the cases and a large lady bird on the front mudguard. It would have been nice to meet a...
Since my last post about touratech postage charges , Touratech have contacted me and offered me a cheaper postage charge they say that the postage charges are an average cost of what they send out , but if you ring up and order you will get a better rate .
So I will gohead and buy my item Mel
Iam after a cigarette lighter adapter for my sat nav, found one on touratech £10.86, so I thought good price went to checkout to pay and they wanted £7.05 p&p which I think is a rip off.
I have just sent my high seat to a fellow member as a straight swop and it it cost me £9.05 with insurance ...
I had touratech fairing crashbars on my old F650GS but after a couple of drops the mountings would bend as they're only held on at one end, and the crash bar would push into the fairing and require bending back. I've just bought a newer dakar and I'm looking to fit another set of crashbars on...
I've just done a search on this site for Touratech delivery and the last mention I could find was late in 2004 so any conclusions are possibly a little out of date by now.
I'm thinking of ordering a few bits but I'm not willing to wait for months for delivery so does anyone know if there any...
Having read reports about corrosion and fork seal failure I'm now thinking of fitting the Tourtech fork guards.
However before I commit the dosh I thought I'd ask if anyone has experience of fitting these, how difficult is it, and are they the best option?
Any comments welcome.
Has anyone tried to fit the Touratech fork-guards to a bike which also has their low mudguard? It dont go ! well not on my Dakar anyway and the instructions are all in German. I will contact them for advice on Monday - unless anyone on this forum has an answer.
Anybody using Touratech fork protectors, seem to offer best of all worlds.
Protection, no condensation or traping of dirt plus clear flow to rad and access to check seals.
Would value your comments.
I recently brought (yeah, I know they are an expensive lot TT) two sets of crashbars for my bike and for my girlfriend's bike.
The left hand lower engine crashbar runs around the outside of the clutch casing. When you come to change gear, you find you can't, because the crashbar pushes your...
At last my new mount has arrived and what a difference in quality/build (and price) to the crap TT provide. It is now mounted in a sensible positin within the visual area of speedo, I'm not scared that the mount will either move or th GPS slip its mont and dangle about whle I worry of I'll lose...
Do you think the TT stand will work with the 17" wheels on my Dakar.
I could just buy one, but it could turn out a nightmare to get the bike up onto it as the overall height of the bike is going to be lower with the new wheels??? mmm?
any thoughts on the subject appreciated
Following the ride out on saturday I am interested in getting some Touratech hand guard shields like the Badger has on his Dakar, can someone let me know what their web site is
