    Having succesfully replaced the fork seals (2004 Dakar) I proudly replaced the front whell and after carefully checking my BMW workshop manual (GS version on CD) I torqued the axle up to 80Nm. Great job done I thought until I noticed on the chain gang forum that they list the GS and Dakar at 40...

    Has anyone done an oil change without a torque wrench?? i have ordered all the gaskets etc and filters for the change getting castrol gp 10w/40 motorcycle oil (mineral) as recomended by two bmw garages.... so the torque is all im missing, they cost a pretty penny so im thinking i could do it...
