I am looking to get some new tyres for my Funduro which I keep in India.
Although mileage wise most of my riding is on tarmac there is a lot of rough stuff I have to go through aswell. So I was thinking of TKC80's over the Distanzias.
The reccomended sizes are 110/90/19 front, and 130/80/17 back...
I have (had) a BMW F650 GS Dakar with TKC-80 tires. I have always kept the bike in good condition and serviced it regularly however since having the tires i noticed but didn't take much notice of a wobble from the front wheel at speeds above 80ish. Of corse i didn't worry much because i don't go...
Anyone know where i can get some heavy duty (thick as a brick) innertubes for;
110/80 19 TKC 80 Front
130/80 17 TKC 80 Rear
At a bit of a loss at the moment.. Just looking for an easy answer, fed up with surfin tinterweb.. :wall:
Hi all :-D
I have a set of TKC80 tyers on my bike.
If I go above 85MPH the bike starts to wobble at the front.
Is this normal.
What is the max speed I should be able to do with these typers.
Thanks :big grin:
Finally got round to fitting my new TKC80's.
Went off for a ride to scrub them in, came back rather quick to check the tyre pressures.
They understeer in corners and the front end is very twichly.
Off road they are fantastic, had a go though a long muddy puddle, loads of fun!
But I'd read that...
After 4k miles. I have about 5..6 mm tread left on the rear wheel of my Dakar (measured on centre of tyre). I drive about 50-60 mph mostly on tarmac.
Any ideas how many miles I have left before I need to replace it? And also, what is the tread depth when new?
Hi all, has anyone fitted their Funduro with TKC 80s as I have been told I cannot get 100 section front! Will the 110 section fit under the front guard and is it safe or advisable to run a wider front tyre along with the rear 130 section? The bike is mainly used for farm track and back road use...
