I'm actually located in the states, and just got my first bike, a 99 F650 Funduro/Classic. I'd love to do the temp guage mod (replacing my clock with a euro temp guage). I bought the guage from a distributor in Germany, but I can't find the temp sender / sensor anywhere...
 Hi guys, a bit confused as to why my 2000 funduro has a clock on the instrument panel whre all others I have seen pictured have a temperature gauge. The clymer manual also lists the bike with a clock. Is it reletively simple to convert?
On the '97 Funduro - should the temp warning light come on when you turn the ignition on - in other words, should it come on with the oil warning light before you start?
If not, how do you test the temp warning light is working properly?
Tonight when I left work, the temp gauge on my Funduro shot all the way up to the red, and then settled down about halfway up the gauge.
Now I know it was definately not that hot! Could it be a faulty temp sender? Are these expensive?
Can anyone please tell me if the clock from the later Funduro's will fit straight into the hole that has the temp gauge on the earlier ones?
Also, what do the later models do with their engine temp gauge? Do they have one? Is it recomended that I remove mine?
Ta in advance!
I have been wanting to mount a clock and outside/air temp gauge on my dash for ages, but can't seem to find anything suitable.
I need something small that will fit on the Funduro's dash somewhere, but I can't seem to find a unit that has both temp and time that will fit.
Does anyone have any...
