Greetings from a cold, wet, damp, snowy Wales! Arrived in November last year after a 3 month ride through Europe on my Dakar to settle in wales for a while.
Got lots of pics and stories from years of riding and camping through Africa, (dodging all the wildlife) so watch my threads for some great...
This is a strange one this, but i was traveling south on the A1 and pulled in a truck stop just after the 101 miles to london sign. Went in the hedge to errrr loose some coffee and before me was a off road motor bike area !!! so if Carlsberg did lay-by's then this is it. I have stuck a google...
As it says above really - we've got bank holiday weekend ahead - i'm sure we could all mow our lawns do odd jobs around the house etc..
Anyone fancy a ride around at some point over the three days??
Ive left it open so any takers can suggest day, time and place..... any takers??
Have just handed my dissertation in and have this coming weekend free 27 and 28th march. Any one fancy a meet up and ride? thought i might explore the tracks up and around twmbarlwm, is kind of semi off road whilst still being legal! any takers?
Right then i've just set up an owners group for those of us in or near to south wales. It can be found in the groups section! So far i'm the only member and am planning on meeting up with myself for a rideout to monmouth 2moro!
Join up and we'll see if we can get some kind of monthly meet up...
Hope this is the right section to post in. My brother in law and I have a day to spare on Mon22 June and want a day trip from Wincanton, preferably with some very easy off-road bits in it (have 5650gsd and 1150gs but both with tourances and ages since we went off tarmac).
Just joined the wales usergroup :howdy: (noticed a lot of members joined in 2003 say may not be active) joined the brizzle on too! Was wondering if anyone fancys a South Wales meet up?
Would be nice to meet up with some other owners and have a rideout, was thinking up to the Brecon...
As I suddenly find myself with a free Saturday tomorrow I was just wondering if anyone knew of any decent green lanes within an hour or so of South London. Nothing too heavy, but still have try out my Pirellis on the green.
Late is the hour I know but thought I'd give it a shot.
I've been trying to get in for the last few months, well now I'm in.I life in Port Elizabeth and I've got a 2000 F650. This forum helped me to fix me bike once already, I had a problem with my 20A fuse blowing twice and the problem was my voltage regulator. Thanks :riding:
I live in Crawley area - can anyone recommend through personal experience a decent wheel builder who can build a pair of 17" rims for me.
I am going 'Super moto' in visuals and have the requisite BMW hubs for the wider than stock rims.
Any references guys (or girls - sorry :-) ) ?

Just back from a 2500 mile round trip to the South of France on the bike. Fully loaded with panniers, tank bag, tail pack and me and the missus it performed faultlessly. We cruised half on the motorways and half on the D roads. It was a real dilemma as it's a bit buzzy at 85 on the motorways...

If there are any F650 (or other riders) out there who would like to make the trip you're very welcome to join in.
I stayed there last year, the roads are...
Hi Guys and Gals,
I have recently covered a number of byways around the south of Bristol and was thinking of organising a ride out for anyone who is within ride-shot of Bristol.
It will propably take around 5-6 hours to cover them all at a leasurley pace with time for even the less experienced...
