Only that! This is the socket where the mirror stem fits onto the fitting on the handlebars. (Wow! That sentence is about as clear as mud!) The "fingers" on the socket have been amputated and the socket has given up to ghost. Stem and mirror are intact.

Bought a 2002 Scarver recently and it has this electrical socket on a bracket to the left of the forward luggage bay. It looks like its for a 4-pin din type plug. Does anyone know what it could be for?
The previous owner hadnt had the bike long and didnt know what its for.

I replaced the bottom pieces today.. (Joins mirror to Brake lever unit).. but in the process has to CUT one of them off... anyway.. long story short.. all the holding and cutting loosened the ball joint up in the mirror...

Hi everyone, I've just fitted the external power retrofit kit from BMW, easypeasy there's just one snag, the instructions say to install the electric connects via heated hand grips as per picture, I have heated grips but the connection is not there, the connection I have is for the rear brake...

Hello all , new to site , picked up my F650gs last night and it has no power socket. Before i order from motor works is the socket they supply easty to fit? I have a heated waistcoat to run that i used with my 1100gs. Also hand guards , whats the general view on the best ?

I'v got an optimate socket attached to my bike and want to make up a connector lead to plug in to it, with a cigarette socket at the other end (for accessories - 12v pump, mobile phone charger etc). Does anyone know if this socket from Maplins will fit the optimate? :think:
