I've had my F650 for just over a week now, and covered a couple of hundred miles. I have a few questions:
1: I'd like to warm the bike up on the sidestand. What do I snip to stop it cutting out when the stand is down?
2: How do I quickly check if it's restricted? Doesn't seem to pull...
A friend has to get her 2001 650gs restricted. What do they ride like when this is done? I'm told the throttle is limited in it's movement and therefore the responce will be decidedly dull.
Any one out there riding a restricted 650?
How does it compare to a standard one?
I just got my Motorbike licence and I am using a BMW F650. I need to restrict it to 33 bhp. Does anyone have a clue where I could do it for under £200 and does anyone know how fast it will drive when restricted?
I've just had my 650 serviced by the local dealer in S'land. I mentioned that it won't go above 80 at all. They've come back and said they think it could be a wiring or cams problem. I've always had the bike serviced by BMW. Any body got any ideas as it sounds like they could be talking...
I am posting this up for potential f650 riders who are on restricted licence.
I have a '94 f650 that is restricted, I was concerned about how the recrtion would effect the bike and was fearing the worse. Well I was pleasantly suprised. Took the bike on a good run from where I live in London...
I'm currently restricted to 33hp not just on my licence but also by the missus!!
I believe the GS/CS is restricted on the throttle body - will this have an adverse affect on fuel consumption or long term, potentially damage the engine?, bearing in mind the restriction will be permanent.
Hi All !
Never had a F650 but now is the time.
I'm currently living in Sweden and buy my bikes in Germany (way cheaper). I plan to buy a F650 Funduro 1999 and i'm wondering if you guys know which way the 25kW model is restricted.
Can you help me out ?
