Hello All, Not sure if I have a serious problem with the Bike,
When starting from cold the exhaust header pipe glows cherry red and then after a minute turns blow torch red, This happens on the curved part of the exhaust header pipe which comes out from the cylinder head,
Possible an over rich...
Helloooooo campers, one question before i embark on changing my water pump seals. Is it better to remove the oil return pipe from a warm engine rather than a cold one. I wouldn't want to strip the alloy threads? Has this happened to anyone on here?:dunno::thumb:
replaced horn switch and took off battery cover - clipped to that cover on the right is a pipe that drains behind the right footpeg - where does the end by the battery go to :wall:
Can't remember taking it off - but there it is
Would a Scorpion carbon pipe from a Yamaha FZ1 work on a 650 GS ?????
Come on clever bods, tell me.
Or will the resistance it offers the single not be enough, as well as the silencing, would that be around the legal level, if it starts life as a road legal can for an FZ1 ??
I suspect £50...
Has any one got one of these.
Have you had any problems with your MOT with these?
I'm looking for a replacement single sided pipe. There doesn't seem to be a great deal between the various manufacturers but does anyone have a strong recommendation.
Ideally, I'm looking for the extra HP, not...
I have owned my '04 model F650GS Dakar for almost two years, and recently I noticed that when the engine is up to normal operating temperature and it is idling, the header pipe glows a nice shade of red. Has anyone else noticed this? Or do I have a problem such as overheating...
For anyone who has undetraken a replacement of the water pump, you will no doubt have come across the difficulty of removing/ man-handling the clutch cover past the oil return line.
I found this difficult, perhaps there is another way.
In any event, I am in the process of putting together a...
I was riding today and when I stopped the Fan came on and there was while smoke coming from between the rear shock and the cylinder. After shinig torches and starting the bike a few times.
I found the the smoke was coming from a pipe that goes from the water pump to the engine just behind the...
Noticed the other day the front end of my exhaust pipe could do with a clean/polish up.. and especially now after seeing pictures of JB's shiny new one.
Apart from some elbow grease, anyone know of any good products for this ?
Hi All Ive just fitted an adventure pipe but was wondering how many discs would be goo to give it a nice sound but not atrract the attention from the police?
But it dose sound good with 5 discs in but just to loud.
Whilst making my third attempt at curing an oil leak on my '00 F650GS, this time by fitting a new breather pipe (the old one had been chopped short at the top, presumably to remove a split section) I noticed that the stub pipe on the tank looked suspiciously like a bodge too. It's a bit...
Went out for a quick blast tonight and decided that I'm fed up with coarse throb........throb and excessive noise of the Dakar, with the Staintune on (baffle in)
The bike sounds nice..............but the noise gets on my tits (and everyone elses, I suspect)
Does the bike run better with the...
I've stumbled across this End Can for the classic F, ST etc,
I'm thinking of buying it, ?250 inc shipping doesn't seem to bad, and there is no rejetting or other adjustments neccessary as with Arrow etc. Does anyone use...
Has anyone got panniers fitted to a Dakar with a Remus twin can pipe?
I'm hoping to fit the Touratech 31L but I'm unsure if they'll fit now. I'd be interested to here of any panniers that would fit and are strong.
I have an 05 Dakar which is just a few weeks old. When I was adjusting the chain I noticed that the battery breather pipe does not protrude below the frame is that correct? I would have expected it to be at leased 50mm longer (below the frame) so that the gases did not damage the...
There is a company in the US that make a high level pipe for the GS (see the www.f650.com home page) called www.adventurepipe.com.
Well the good news is they are doing one for the CS now. It's in prototype at the moment, and is going thru final dyno testing. Should be ready for shipping in May...
I have [ OPPSS! sorry, Happy new year all.] been in the garage pratting
