I've solved my big top-box requirement and am about to bolt the thing on.
As it's basically not removable (without spanners) I need another way to get the seat off.
The Wilbur mentioned a cunning mod using cable ties but having had a look I've not worked out how to do it.
Can't see a good way...
As previously mentioned I've now finished making my own large panniers for my 650. Have a look at the pics, it cost me all in all about £100 and about 3 hours work.
I cut sheets of ali to size, bent it then riveted the lot together I also riveted handles to the top and draw lock...

Please view my modified side-stand bracket which allows the TT stand/BMW side stand to work in all configurations without hitting each other. How many other GS's are manufactured with this fault?
