Hi Finally got my self a lovely 03 Dakar, and i'm cuffed! Only problem is its a little tall, i'm 5,8 and in full winter gear its a bit tricky. I have seen Touratech does a lower seat which is 3cm lower then the origonal. but its £396 is it worth it? or does anyone have a low seat...

OK guys when did you last give all the bolts a good going over? I had the back wheel out and noticed a little verticle play in the rear swing arm. Close look shows the lower bush on the dog bone moving. Closer look and the bolt looked loose, head not flush but threads protruding. Take the...

I was sick and tired of all the crap thrown up off the road onto my boots,my trousers and the bike so it was time for a lower front mudguard. Having looked around it became clear that no-one did one that extended low enough so I decided to have a go myself. One trials bike front mudguard off...

Hi Guys, I just bought a new Dakar (2006) and really like it. However, it is way higher than anything else I have ridden and feels a little weird at slow speeds, being so high up and all. I understand it is a pretty simple procedure to lower it up to about 3 inches (actually I am just thinking...

I have been trawling for some time to try and find the definative low seat options for a std 2005 F650 GS (twin Spark) machine. I gather the std seat is around 780mm / 30.7" and this can be raised with a higher seat. There seems (in the UK) to be a factory lowering option - that IS NOT...

With such an up close and personal weekend with my GS, (see all my other posts - thanks guys) I have found to my great annoyance that the front forks are very un BMW like in their condition. The main tubes are showing slight signs of pitting - ok I guess that comes from 15000 miles in 10 months...

Might be a stupid question - well, probably definitely a stupid question. Has anyone fitted the Touratech lower mudguard to their F650GS? How do you get the bolt done up that holds the brake cable on once the mudguard is in place? My tools are too large ... Can't get a normal...

Hi all. I'd like to lower the footpegs on my bike ('00 F650) by an inch or so. I'm not worried about the loss of ground clearance, but would welcome the knee relief on longer journeys.
