I cannot get trip meter up on 2004 F650GS. Suddenly disappeared while touring this week. Clock is OK and odeometer OK. Have looked at fuses and have taken battery off and re-connected. Can feel button click as before but trip meter does not appear. Any ideas?
Somewhere on here someone did a conversion with the handguards and put acerbis ( i think) handguards on their 650. anyone got the link or a list of parts needed please. or even better want to sell me theirs acerbis guards and fitting kit..

The tale of the lost miles
Before I set off all was fine, the mileage was being displayed, during the journey I checked the speedo and noticed the odometer now read "-----". The speed, rpm, clock etc all function fine.

Just a quick one - When you remove the battery does the computer programme thing (that seems to always be updated at service time by BMW) get lost and default back to factory? Does removing the battery do anything to the computer?

Yesterday I decided to change by myself the front brake pad of my classic F650... The problem was that whem I was pulling the pads out the metal spring fell... :whistle: :whistle: and now? today I ride without that spring, but is obvious that I need to get it back in place, as soon as...
