I have a 1997 F650st with a leaking rear shocker, now BMW tell me that the rear shock unit is not serviceable, is this the case? Also, if I do have to replace the whole unit do I consider an aftermarket replacement? Does anyone have any experience of aftermarket shocks? Many thanks John :howdy:

Whenever I open my top box it has a half inch of water in it from being parked outside in the rain. Anyone else seen this? Where is the rain likely to be getting in and how can I stop it? Cheers

BMW actually agreed to a new replacement top box which i picked up from Clarks Motorcycles this morning. If this one leaks then i will have to get a pack of bin liners or buy a Givi top box which i know will not leak. Incidentally the box leaked worse when the bike was parked in the rain rather...

Went to Clarks BMW today complaining about my leaking top box and they tell me that it is not guaranteed to be waterproof. Well they didn't tell me that when they sold it to me so i said it's Not Fit for Purpose and i expect better from BMW so please replace it or refund my money and i will buy...

Just bought a Genuine BMW top box for my GS but find that when it rains i get a considerable amount of water inside the box. I can find no obvious point of entry and the seal is intact. Has anyone else experienced this trouble? :-(

I have the touring oiler kit on my 650gs. It was on the bike when i bought it...the problem i have, is it is pissing oil from the resevoir fill tube/ breather tube, which runs down the mudguard and luckily enough catches on the plastic guard that goes across the rear wheel. I am getting no feed...

I've just discovered that my front fork-seals are leaking. My question is how hard would the job be to repair them or if anyone had the number of someone in my neighbourhood (Ipswich) who could do the job. ?

My box is leaking. Cant see exactly where. Anyone know of any good sealent. The box is the bmw one that will fit 1 full face helmet
