Recently the horn and high beam flasher stopped working on my 2004 F650CS. Everything else works just fine (headlights, hi/lo switch etc). I took the tupperware off the bike to investigate and found there is no power to either the horn or flasher switch. After some research, I checked the...

Hi there, I have an intermittent fail on my indicators and horn. Sometimes they just don't work. I've tried the battery and connections. I've pulled the relays in front of the battery and cleaned up the connections. The wiring diagram points to the load relief relay, K9109, which I thought...

Been having issues with my normal small slim circle based horn (asthmatic duck horn), so decided to scrap it, replace the corroded wiring and get a twin tone snail horn. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181022000542?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 I highly recommend the above...

Was riding home from work, on a 2 mile long stretch of road. I saw this lorry coming towards me, I saw the corner of a cars bumper right up close to the lorry.......the car was 'bobbing' (no wonder he couldn't see being up its a$$), I anticipated the car might try and overtake, so I had moved...

Is it possible to replace the switches on the handlebars;- Horn Indicators Starter etc?

I've just noticed that my odometer and horn aren't functioning on my GS. I don't know if it's 2 separate issues, or due to the same problem. Strange thing is that apart from the odometer, the instrument cluster works fine - including the trip meter! I've checked the fuses - there are only...

Hi, Headlamp flasher and horn not working. Don't know how long it's been like that as I never use them, but little lad next door tried!....:nono: Fuse is ok, quick external look at wiring seems ok. Everything else is fine. No alarm fitted so rules that out. Any ideas please? Cheers Ed

can anyone tell me which horn to buy? will it fit in the same place and is the wiring difficult?
  9. F650 Single Discussion
Well I have had my new horn on for 1 month now (no smutty remarks please). I managed to fit it in the same place as the original but bolted directly to the mount. All you can see is the tips of the trumpets. Apart from tidying up the wiring and remounting the relay to a more sheltered position...

Well I have fitted the horn and it sits on the bracket that housed the old horn. The trumpets just peek out from under the fairing just below the headlight. Now the wiring. Advice please. I plan to take the power from the battery to one of the original horn cables, take the second to the relay...

I have finally fitted (though not wired in yet ) my air horn. I took off the thin steel plate that the old horn was mounted on (1 bolt) and then the bracket that the strip was mounted to (2 bolts). The horn body has a built in mount that allows you to mount the horn on two different planes.I...

after getting frustrated about not having an operating horn and waving my arms at idiots on the roads, and also no flasher, I searches hard (and with suggestions and help from this fine forum); many times unfolding the 'onion' to get to the loom to find a break. I noticed the switches had...

Hi All, I found out this morning that I have no horn. I`ve taken the side panals off and the front mudguard. The last green/purple and brown wires well connected to the wiring loom. All other electrics to that fuse work and the switch is clean and rust free. :-) So, i`m now gonna delve into...

2 weeks ago,my pass/flash switch (on left hand controls) stopped working, the switch felt really stiff, but i thought OK i can live with it as you can easily flip from low beam to high beam to flash someone, then yesterday i noticed my horn wasnt working. Has anyone else had this happen, but...

Hi guys and gals. Got an infuriating problem. I'm sure the solution is straightforward, but having problems sorting it. In short, my horn has packed up! I have checked the fuses, looked at the wiring within the handlebar switch cluster; even removed the mudguard to check the terminal connection...

;) Without starting a debate about use of the horn ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! For those of you who recognise , particularly as I do riding in central London every day, the need for a decent horn : The standard horn on an F650 Dakar is crap! ! ! ! particularly as it is encased in a holder in the mud...

Hi! My horn has packed up on my 2006 F650 Dakar, I have had a very quick look and at first glance it appears you have to take the entire headlamp fairing off to get to one screw that holds the horn cover in place from above , as well as the torx bolts holding the from under mudguard on , is...
