The OE handguards have been doing my head in for some time, personally for weather protection, they're good, for anything else, you may as well wrap a loaf of bread round the bar.
So I decided to get some Acerbis ones, not wanting to pay Touratech tax and shipping i just bought the Rally Pro...
Acerbis Hand Guards F650GS
Ok, anyone fitted these, much fiddling about? Looking for either type with ally inserts or not.. Anyone know of any part numbers etc as i understand (may be miss-informed) its a bit fiddly with the inner mount?
Any advice or experience would be appreciated.
I would like to know if someone can tell me if this hose is the return hose for the oil on the F650ST or Funduro. I might need to change mine as it is damaged.
It is located on the right hand side
I am almost certain...
My lefthand indicators have stopped working on 2003 cs, the right side work fine. I have checked the indicators are pluged in to the connectors properly, should I be looking at replacing the multifunction switch, if so is it a big job and how much should I expect to pay for a new...
Fancy fitting some Acerbis hand guards to my '95 Funduro.
has anyone fitted these and if so what sort did you get?
The standard ones might stop a suicidal fly at 30mph but not a branch at 5mph
On another note, ive noticed the engine is realy , realy lumpy at around 2500 rpm...
Could anybody help with some advice
I own a 2000 F650 FL and I would like to fit some hand guards.

Hi all, just wanted to offer assistance to those on here that (like me!) may be on a tight budget and attempting to re-vitalise their F650's, i've finally got my sand blasting cabinet sorted and my welding and machine tools so if you need something doing give me a shout, i'm not a 'business'...
This has probably been answered before but I'll be buggered (can I say that? ) if I can find it. I have recently purchased a 2004 CS from Rainbow in Rotherham and would like to fit some hand guards to it. Nobody seems to supply them for the CS do the GS versions fit?
PS Rainbow are...
I've read in earlier threads that communting destroys second hand values?
So how about dealer servicing then? - I'm not implying dealer servicing destroys second hand values :uhoh:
I'm about to take on a job with a daily round trip commute of around 140 miles, practically all motorway. This...
Thank you all for your input regarding the type and fitting of hand guards to a CS.
I have now managed to source a pair of genuine GS which fit a treat.
03 CS, Remus GP Titanium, Centre stand, Handle bar risers, Fenda Extenda.
I seem to remember Barry Merchant fitted handguards to his original CS and them being BMW F650GS or Ascerbis guards which needed a bit of tweeking to stop fouling the standard screen. You may not have this problem with an aftermarket item. Anyway, I'm sure Barry will be along soon with his...
Has anyone fitted hand guards to a Scarver. If so what type are they and where did you get them from??
I have fitted Handle bar risers and a Whunderlich screen so there are no issues around there being a shortage of space in this area.
I have spoken to my local dealer "Rainbow" who seem to be of...

I have finally installed a pair of aluminium braced Handguards. They were sold to me as being acerbis rally pros but I am not sure this is the case. Fortunatley they cam ewith the mounting kit so I saved well over 40 squids
There is a...
I have got a gen BMW high screen (the one fitted as standard on DAKAR) and genuine hand guards (again as std on dakar) and when you turn the steering to full lock the guards catch on the edge of the screen.
