I am open to suggestions, brands, solutions for this cold weather and my frozen hands. My hands freeze during the 40 minutes/1 hour twice per day journey. This happens even wearing thermal gloves and very good quality motorbike gloves on top.
I know about heated grips, any of you...

I have a 1998 Funduro which came with heated grips, i can only assume that these are the original heated grips that came with the bike, as the grips match a lot of BMW grips i have seen around..
the point is the grips are not very warm at all, (compared to my dad's oxford hot hands)...
I've recently changed from a 2002 CS to a 2003 GS. Both have the BMW standard heated grips, but the GS grips heat up incredibly slowly and also to a much lower temperature.
Does anybody know what the issue is and how to correct it? :dunno:
Just recently my bikes (02 plate F650GS) heated grips have developed an intermitant fault with the heating function on both settings - i.e some times they just don't heat up at all.
Is this a common fault with a tried and tested fix?
Thanks in advance :thumb:
My Scarver could do with new grips. They are heated. Do they have to be anything special ?
Found a fault today that others must have -- horn.
No horn, but testing the horn on a battery it was OK.
I stripped the LH switch and stripped and cleaned both flasher and horn switches. OK boy did they...
I've noticed that the heated grips on my 'new' GS heat up a LOT slower than on my CS. I timed them this afternoon - to get to full heat on setting 2, the CS took about 2 minutes. The GS took nearly 5. After a long ride, it still doesn't feel anywhere near as warm. On setting 1 it barely...
Does anyone know if it is possible to replace just the rubber grips on the heated grip units? I have worn out mine (the rubber has split but the grips still heat) and was looking for a way to avoid replacing the whole units.
If it is possible does anyone know what diameter they need to...
Hi, thanks for all the advice on my last post. My last question, hopefully for a while at least is this. My Funduro 2000 model is fitted with heated grips they appear to be retro fitted BMW ones. However when I put the bar ends on today from motor works the right hand one stops the throttle from...
Both my heated hand grips have given up and I'd like to get them sorted before the weather turns. Has anyone got any suggestions where I can best get my hands on replacements (used or new)?
My heated grips keep turning on the bars and throttle which is annoying and dangerous, I need some new grips, do I get new heated grips fitted or a new set of standard grips where can you get them.
Also the heated grips that are on the bike just have trailing cables no control box or...
Has anyone ever had worn out heated grips? They still work fine, but one has a hole in it thanks to over use, and the other one is getting thin. By the looks of it the heating element is integrated in to the grip rubber.
So... Firstly can anyone tell me if I am right.
Secondly can someone...
