My 'new' '94 Funduro has a sidestand which flips up as soon as you stand the bike upright. I understand the safety thinking behind it, but I don't like it. Looking at the springs this morning, it wasn't immediately apparent if it's possible to modify the springage to stop the stand flipping up...

When I took my bike test a few years ago I seem to recall the instructor talking about "flip-up" front style helmets ( like the Nolan X-lite and Calberg etc) saying that its illegal to ride with the front "flipped up" and has to be down and locked when riding ...... Any legal eagles out there...
