my 2004 Dakar just failed its MOT on rear pads, rear tyre tred depth and the offside rear wheel bearings are loose,
-what decent pads should i go for?
-what tyres should i run? i will replace both at the same time, i was thinking Metzeler Tourance, but what sizes?
-and what can i do...

:-( the 95 funduro failed its mot today. bottom bush play on the rear shock.its where the shock attach itself to the swing arm. ive ordered the parts. [£20 off bmw motorworks] these have to be pressed in. may i ask if anyone has done this job and what tools do i need. is it a easy job?
Well yes took the bike for its MOT and yes it failed :doh:
Failed on the following points::
1. Rear suspension movement excessively stiff.
2. Front Wheel Bearings are excessively rough.
Anyway have ordered wheel bearings so hopefully that will sort the front wheel.
What do you suggest for...
I know Steering Head Bearings are a ?well worn? subject with the F650 but even I was shocked Friday to be told my 03 model needs to have new ones. It has only done 2,600 miles. Looks like you need to change the bearings at shorter intervals even than the oil?
The dealer, can only fit the BMW...
