I have recently bought a F650 GS 2007 and find the seat too high. I think there is a way of converting seat to make it extra low or buying one. My manual says that mine is 780 mm high. I've heard of a name Tony Archer in Huddersfield who redesigns seats but now can't seem to find his location...

How much extra power draw can the standard alternator/battery cope with, and does the Dakar have a higher alternator output. I only ask as with the extra spots and heated grips on the battery doesnt seem to cope?

Now that I've modified my BMW high windscreen as Trevor's modification, I'm wondering what to do (if anything) with the space behind the screen and before the dash - maybe a shelf for 'essentials'? Any ideas? Adrian

as above the bike cut out at the lights twice today. also noticed extra amounts of back pressure in the exhausts with plenty of noise. will give it a good clean and check battery/ plug/ leads/ petrol etc and see how it reacts. would there be a reason why i need a new computer program thing on...
