So here goes my first question.
Attached is the link to a picture. Its the RH side of the BMW f650 Funduro that I own. There are a lot of issues with this and I will slowly attack it one by one!
Quick question - does anyone know the BMW part number for the alternative sump plug you can use... I believe I have seen posts talking about using a K-Series plug that has a couple more threads on it...

I'm stripping down an F650 engine to put new GBox bearings in it.
I thought I'd read somewhere that the TDC bolt can be used to lock the crankshaft whilst undoing the rotor and primary drive nuts. This sounds a little dodgy to me, has anyone tried it?
If the TDC bolt is not the way to do it...
I'm hoping the above will link to a Photobox album that shows a pic of what I'm talking about.
Seems to be a trail of (I presume oil) that has found its way down the left crank case of my CS. Not sure where this has come from or...
