The specified movement is 20-30mm but is this supposed to be measure with the bike on the centre stand or the side stand? I have always used the centre stand but I am now wondering if this is correct as many now don't have centre stands.
I have discovered that my upper roller is missing I have ordered the parts I need from BMW. It seems that it attaches without a nut. Does anyone have a picture of one in place? I have seen the one on chain gang but it is too close up and I can't see exactly where it is.
I bought an F650GS a few weeks ago which is fitted with a Scott oiler. Can anyone tell me please where the best place to buy lubricant to refill the oiler or should I just send off to the manufacturer? I am in Brighton.
Today I replaced the chain and sprockets on my '96 Funduro (want to get it ship shape before a Euro tour later this summer). I had some setbacks (including rear brake locking up when replacing bottom chain roller)...but got everything back together looking good in the end:applause:
I have made the most stupidest mistake that one can make with chain driven motorcycle, I have lost the tops of my two fingers due to basically being a w**ker... Because of what I have done will need plastic surgery in the morning to reconstruct the tops of my fingers...
What I did...

When warmed up and the idle is around 1400 as recommended the noise...
I noticed from a previous discussion that a member had bought a Loobman chain oiler, which looks tempting from the website and the price is good! I was going for the Scottoiler, but have any other forum members any thoughts? My bike lives in Spain and is used in fairly dusty conditions, both on...
Hi All, I just purchased a chain oiler from Loobman for only £15.99.
it looks like a good and cheaper alternative to a scott oiler
Also just done some research and have pushed the boat out for a 'Odyssey PC 310' battery, a bit expensive but I'm hoping it will stop...

I just had my bike serviced, and was told of the recall for a new chain and sprocket. They did it while I waited but it took 3 hours, so if you need it done, allow the time!! This was an ongoing issue with these bikes, and I believe that there have been several failures. The new one looks much...

Can anyone just confirm the standard drive chain size for my 2000 GS so I know I am looking for the right one, I have standard chain and sprockets, so Is this right size 520 X 112 ?
I know you should replace the sprockets as well but they are not bad at all and will certainly see this year...
I just thought the odd person might be interested in my most recent mod:
The old rear-mounted oiling head always looked a bit exposed, and the tyre fitters wrote it off at the last tyre change - so I snipped the tube off at an angle and pointed it at the front sprocket.
