Hi, Dose anyone know what size bolt/screw is needed to hold the front brake light switch on to the leaver? I noticed something hanging off this morning, and realised it had come off. I had to tighten it up befor, but evidently not tight enough.

OK guys when did you last give all the bolts a good going over? I had the back wheel out and noticed a little verticle play in the rear swing arm. Close look shows the lower bush on the dog bone moving. Closer look and the bolt looked loose, head not flush but threads protruding. Take the...

I have finally worked out what I need for my bike and wondered if anyone else would like a kit? I have found a local supplier who can provide what I need at a competitive price, but only based on supplying the equivalent of 10 kits. They will be A2 grade stainless steel and a mixture of socket...

I'm stripping down an F650 engine to put new GBox bearings in it. I thought I'd read somewhere that the TDC bolt can be used to lock the crankshaft whilst undoing the rotor and primary drive nuts. This sounds a little dodgy to me, has anyone tried it? If the TDC bolt is not the way to do it...

Hi All, Not doing many miles, I dont have to adjust my chain too often. Went to do it this morning and the n/s tension bolt sheared as it was corroded. No end to get hold of and I'm a bit worried if it goes to a garage I might be looking at a seriously large bill if it needs a new swing arm...

Hi Everyone. I have a 2000 F650GS. Fitting a Touratech front mudguard I sheared one of the fork brace bolts. I sprayed all the bolts with lots of WD40 before attempting to remove, but alas one still sheared. I cut a slot in what was left, but still no luck with a screwdriver. Any ideas...

I discovered to my horror yesterday a sheared front axle retaining bolt on my Funduro. It is the top left hand one of the four and had obviously been over tightened and broken off approx 1/4" inside the casing. Can it be drilled out and replaced or is it a fixed part of the fork? Will it be...

:uhoh: I've just started the rebuild of my '00 GS after changing the head gasket and noticed the oil return pipe banjo bolt was weeping a bit. I went to torque it up and now I'm weeping - as it just went round and round! Removing it confirmed my suspicions that some of the threads have been...

Hi, I'm trying to find a rim clamp (rim lock or security bolt) to fit to the rear wheel of my F650 Dakar but I am not having any success since the wheel is wider than most off-road applications. I'm currently intending to use the original wheel which is 3.00x17 and the "widest" clamp I can find...

As far as the stretch bolts go I asked all the Supermono guys about them and got this info off them all. I thought they would be in the best position to know as those motors are rebuilt often. (KTM 5 hours, BMW 200 miles etc ) The following bikes were covered and have NO known stretch bolts...

Hi all - riding back from the New Forest today, I noticed my ignition has sunk into the yoke. On closer inspection, it looks like the 2 bolts that fix the lock and cable guide in place have gone - must have vibrated loose I guess. I can't find the bolt size in my Clymer or on the Chain Gang...

I bought a set of crash bars for the F650 and to fit them you need to remove two bolts that hold the engine in the frame. The first one came out OK but the second one won't move. The nut came off OK but the bolt itself (an allen headed one) won't shift. I tried using a socket allen key and a...
