Can anybody tell me if its possible to replace the plastic slider without removing the swinging arm. Its worn right through underneath and is hanging down resulting [we hope] in the mysterious noise from down there. We think the chian is flicking it up against the swinging arm. Dont want to take...

After reading several post stating you should check the head and swing arm bearings as they are a weak point on the F650, I though I should check mine. I have had the bike for just over a year and have had no problems with either. But how would I know? what are the signs and symptons of failing...

Hi all, I had to replace rear drive belt as it lost too many teeth, Arrr not so good the belt is a bit on the expensive side. Anyway as I had to pull out the swing arm to do this interesting task I thought it would be a good idea to grease up some needle bearings on the swing arm. The bearings...

All the bolts have come out.......except one. Sod's Law means it is the one buried behind everything else on the frame and can't get a direct hit with a hammer and drift. I'm pretty sure that the bolt has seized into the bush. I can turn the bolt OK but I suspect it is just turning with the...

I recently found play in the monoshock link arm bushes/bearings. It was only noticable when bike was on centre stand and rear wheel spindle was being tightened. All link arm bushes/bearings have now been changed, not cheap, but a small amount of play remains. Is this common?

During the process of stripping the front forks off my (2000 650GS) i was horrified :-( to notice a small crack on the front fork. On the fork base near the front wheel axle there is a bolt that locks the axle in place , well the crack is around this area and my obvious concern is unchecked...

I am about to fit a new "continuous" chain and this will mean removing the swing arm. If anyone out there has done this before, are there any tips i might benefit from. I know doing this on some bikes in the past has created problems. Thanks

While replacing chain and sprockets on my '98 Strada, I decided to clean and re-grease the swinging arm pivot bearings and the suspension linkages. The nearside pivot bearing was found to be, as expected, a needle roller type, but the drive side bearing was a plain bush. Now the BMW workshop...
