Dear everyone.
I have a problem with my ignition switch the inside is broken and a new one is stupid expansive. I rather fix it. Inside the ignition switch are 4 cables. The colors of those are: 2 Red white, 1 green and 1 green gray. The switch connects the red white to the green and the red white to the green gray. In the wire diagram "http://faq.f650.com/FAQs/Photos/ElecPhotos/wiring1-1.gif" the red white and green is clear and very important. but in the diagram i do not see the green gray one. Does anyone know where that wire is for?

Unfortunately the gs is just a bit too different from the 1993 motorbike i have. The wires are totally different and the bike has way more electrical things in it. Thank you for the link tho.
I believe the ignition switch connects the red to the grey/green and the red/white to the green.
The grey/green seems to go to a connector for optional heated handlebar grips.
Buzz.
Buzz was indeed right. I also thought that but maybe someone would know without me needed to take the the bmw apart. this weekend i took the fairings off and indeed the green grey one is for the heated grips.
On my F650CS they are the rear tail lights. I cut the two that start the bike and put in a toggle switch. Yes that hotwires the bike so the key is only used to turn on the tailight and to lock the bike.
