Greetings from the nicest part of Germany, Schleswig Holstein in the very north. After nearly 10 years of no bike I am back, got the perfect pensioner's bike. F650. Cheap to buy and run, enough power and easy to drive. Im my working years I had to test drive motorbikes, that was the reason I finished with bikes for a while, my worst test-object was street legal (after my tests) and was measured with 300 Hp.
Happy now with 48 Hp, feeling safe.
Happy riding,
Horst
Welcome (back) Horst,
interesting that in your retirement you chose a F650 after over the years testing many motorcycles.
you reasons similar to mine in choosing one,
I think where all getting older sports bikes don't do it for me a nice set of bends is just as nice at 60 as a 100 , plus kinder to the licence what with all the sneaky vans we have in North yorkshire. Love the versatility of the Dakar .
Hi Dave, I am most astonished that I do not long for more power. With my old bikes it always happened that after a short while I needed more power. Seem go get wiser with age..
