    Default emissions

    Hi
    I own a 2001 F650GS in great condition
As i am based in London within ULEZ have decided to exempt my bike of charges

i have wrote an Email to eccoc re my bike emission data on 11/05/20 and still no response from them
have reminder letter on 17/05/20 - no response
I am considering going for the 175 emission test !
My bike currently fitted with aftermarket single can
I am thinking buy an exhaust mufler for 2006 model on Ebay 70 worth which i suppose got the catalytic converter within
    Does anyone know -
Would that alone be enough to improve the emission of the bike or further set ups would be necessary ????????

Before buying any parts for later twin spark bikes they are different 2mm dia - check the diameter.

Have a read before buying anything what software are you running ?

Also waiting for our 2000 GS reply from ECCOC about NOX.

    thank you for reply
it seems the 2006 model as 2mm larger diameter will be an easy adaptation to 42 mm original 2002 model
i am willing to wait for reply from ECCOC for further 10 days b4 drastic decisions
I know my bike is on Original firm software
thanks to this forum I have learned and cheeked the bike is recalled from BMW for electrical issues which i guess i need to approach
nearest dealer and book with them
my nearest dealer ( Batterseea) however are not welcome ppl when it comes for old bikes like mine !
need to find out different one

Are BMW dealers are the only place you can upgrade the firm ware ???
Also I think it is time and money waster going for BMW dealer Total Rip-offs
