Default Lost with 2 steel washers - Help pls

    Hi there,

Pls check the pix and if any idea of where these 2 could have come from. I am a bit lost where to look and cannot begin rebuild

    https://photos.app.goo.gl/1MpuXfS26nxc9jJt6

    Deimensions: outer 35mm inner 26mm thickness 2mm in inches 1.37795 x 1.02362 x 0.0787402

    Removed:

    - both side covers and smal impeler cover
    - valve cover, camshafts, glider, both brackets
    - disassembled forks, both bridges top yoke, ignition lock
    - magnet and pulser
    - oil drain bolt
    - oil pipe sump bolt
    - exhaust pipe at engine side
    - rear brake master cylinder and caliper disassembled

Maybe from the fork assembly? Top down goes like - Fork top threaded plug - then short pipe and before the spring, REALOEM shows RING, could it be that? could someone pls check at his bike.

    Tx

    Hi Alexander.

I took most of the same things apart on my F650GS over the last year but can't recall any large washers. At face value, you would have to be looking at a shaft or spigot about 26 mm/ 1" in diameter to take such washers. Are you certain these came from the bike?

ps. the links to your pics don't work!

    HI AWJDThumper,

sorry for the links hope fixed nowl.

The thing is that I found them in the oil dispenser after drained the oil that made me think it came off either clutch or magnet side. did the same stuff many times before and am positive never saw them before, BUT

While you were writing I was checking the realoem, Have a suspect on the fork assembly where after the top threaded plug goes short tube then RING and spring, sadly no dimensions for the RING but given the size could be the fit, will appreciate if someone could check on his bike. Mine is Dakar 2005.

    Will report tomorrow.

    Many tx

This is to confirm the 2 spacers/rings/washers go to fork assembly between uper short tube and spring.

Well done! Given their size, that was logically the only place they could have come from
