Default Has my 650cs been lowered

Hi my main question is has my bike been lowered

It measures 760 mm to the lowest part of the seat when the bike is upright

Read a few articles but ime still unsure

My bike measures 290mm from the floor to the centre of the gear selector bolt

Will you measure yours if it's a standard height and post it on here for me

    Thanks Andy

    sounds normal to me

most CS's have the low seat fitted,

I can't measure the wifes as it is very definitely lowered

    780 mm (31 in)
Optional 750 mm (30 in) seat
    Or 810 mm (32 in)

Will check mine tomorrow when i find a tape measure - is that the gear lever pivot bolt you are measuring to ?
My bike sat low enough to bottom out the rear tyre into the guard on potholes with the stock non adjust saggy 12 yr old shock - sits way higher with the comfort preload model even on zero preload
Check the length of the shock links too - measured bolt centre to bolt centre there is some data on here somewhere for stock and lowering links sizes

Mine is 290mm to the gear lever too at the mid preload setting i am running seat height 780mm
Zero preload drops it down to about 270mm

2002 CS with stock links comfort option rear shock and a bit of extra seat padding
