Mine sounds a bit like a diesel. First and second gear clunk a bit also. It's also quite snatchy at low speeds.

The guy down my street with a GSX-R 1000 probably does have a smile on his face but he's going too fast for me to see!

On another subject, i have been thinking about a Transalp, any one had any thoughts on them?, either that or i might go for a F650 (800cc) twin, as they now seem to be at a good price.

A friend of mine has a Transalp which he really rates. However the biggest problem with it is the seat height; he is much taller than I am but still has to get on/off horse fashion and can only just touch the ground.

New model Trannie is lower (17" instead of 21" front wheel). F650(800) more economical and better built.
