Hi everyone, I can't find any threads on tyres (new to the group today)
Can any one direct me to such a thread?
Ive got a F650GS Dakar (21" front wheel) 2001 and want to do some light off road work along with riding to whatever green lane I have chosen.
Thoughts?
I live just outside Bristol if there are any other like-minded owners
Heidenau tyres fitted to mine, haven't tried anything else so can't compare. Anakees also seem a popular choice. Golden tyre would be a left field try. Was going to comment on sarcy comments but I guess it got a reply, and maybe a long day. let us know your choice and experience .
Shinko 804/ 805. Big block tyre with great road manners. Don’t last that long but they are very cheap hear in oz. Not sure if they available in the uk though.
Thanks DakarDave, was expecting a flurry of responses (or at least some response?) and got nothing initially, so was a little disappointed by comparison to other forums, maybe patience isn't my strongest point
The Heidenau get very good reviews and will likely suit my 50/50 on/off road riding, so a good recommendation.
Thanks again!
I ran the Hiedenau Scouts for a while. Good 50/50 performance with insane wear! Excellent suggestion and great value given the longevity. I’m with Dave, heavy to pick up, hence why I run more aggressive rubber.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
