Default Touratech goodies list

Hi folks me again,

I've made a list of touratech stuff I think I might need for touring;

I've got soft panniers (oxford sport) and a kappa tote bag so far,
although tempted with Ortlieb rack pack.

See my list here:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...thkey=CKmv-r4O

Has anyone had both BMW and Touratech engine crashbars?
Which is best? Also are the touratech fairing crashbars worth the money?

Your thoughts and feedback on the list are appreciated.

Cheers,
DouGSter

No offense meant here... but where are you thinking of touring with that lot on....

Yes.. some of it really useful if you are going off into the wilderness for weeks on end... but otherwise...

Engine bars.. yes... very useful.. with I could get some for my funduro easily... but not possible at moment..
Hand Guards... yes.. protect your levers...
Fairing crash guards.. nice idea...
Big kick stand pad... make your own for much less...

Everything else... only if your are folling ewan and charlie on the long way round...

Just my $0.02....

Tony.

NB: (green with envy at the thought of having a newer bike and some nice shiny kit on it.... )

NB2: Toured europe and now morocco on our old F650 funduros and Engine guards are really all I wish I had... possibly fairing guards for the few times I drop it.....

Thanks Tony. None taken

Sorry to hear about your bike troubles right at the start of your journey.

Yeah I maybe am going a bit OTT I do like the trick bling look
that all the TT parts give the bike.

Problem with TT parts is that they look good and they give you
a practical benefit *ahem* (excuse) to buy them.

I would only get the lower engine guards and source the handguards else where.

The fairing bars are a pile of ****e...much about them on the american site

Also get some acerbis neoprene fork gaitors for the 41mm stanchions
