Graphite is the best. Soft and dry compound that will reduce friction, coat the component parts, but not attract dust and crap

A good locksmith will sell you a "puffer" dispenser of powdered graphite. Used sensibly such a pack will last for years and years because the message is DO NOT OVERDO the application

Your no duffer snod i had the same problem till i read your post,
and with the help from the boys mine is now sorted

Mine you there could be two duffers on here

It's because we both live in Wirral. It is the wind blowing over them there hills in Wales or down through the Mersey tunnel that does it
