Default dragon rally 2010

Could'nt make the Elephant this year but have ticket for the dragon rally so if anyone on the forum wants to meet up in Snowdonia in on feb 5/6 I'll be there so if you see a white funny(green seat) acc.by purpleish pan euro side car outfit then, well you can decide whether to say hello or pass by.

I really want to go to this! South Wales to Snowdon was my first big run on the bike after replacing the engine/passing my test.
Spent the last hour searching the web about the rally - biggest concern apart from frezzing to death in the tent - is, is it too late to get a ticket?

Just emailed the orginisers to check, if not then you may well see me there! Red funduro with slightly less red on fairing and badly stuck breakdown van chevrons - may also be fire juggling around it!

Whats the deal with it? do they send you a check point after the ticket? Get to there and then they let you know where campsite is - will be great for my shat nav alternative of planning route on adress label and sticking it on fuel tank!

Hope you can get the tickets as it is a great rally, though very traditional.Rumour is that it's going back to Capel Curig this year which is one of the best venues. Maybe we see you there, and heres hoping for really bad weather.

I believe the BMW Club Rhino Rally is on the same weekend in Beddgelert so there'll be lots of bikes in Snowdonia

Good stuff. Maybe I see you there.Hope it lives up to your expectations. Remember it is not like a modern rally with rock bands etc. This has been held for nearly 50 years, well 49 any way.

I'm looking forward to it!
been reading a few of the stories on the website
http://www.dragonrally.org.uk/
I take it we won't be able to watch rugby war on site then?
Little bit worried about hitting the checkpoint - said something along the lines of make sure your a certain side of the bridge! fingers crossed i'll be the correct side!

Hop to see you there!

Got my sleeping bag this morning - looks toasty may have to go camp in the shed tonight to test it out!
Only prob is it doesn't pack down as small as my lightweight one - so guess its going in a dry bag and being strapped on the passenger seat with the tent! Starting to see why lots of people seem to do it with a sidecar outfit!

A sidecar outfit has all the disadvantages of a car and none of the advantages. The thing to do is persuade a mate it's exactly what they need and can't live without one. Then you can toss all your rally gear in and travel on a nice (now lightweight) solo and have fun.
